I didn't say I'd do this every day, did I? Since I sprained my foot last Weds. night, I've just not been in the mood to do much but complain, and who wants to read that? Not me! My foot was not really the source of my consternation as much as my clutzy and careless behavior. I could have kicked myself for what I did, but that would have hurt the sore foot. Best to just wear out the remorse in some venue other than this.
I went to a Super Bowl party last night and actually enjoyed a football game from beginning to end for the first time in a long time. As the Scripture prophysied , the Saints prevailed. I was tickled to the max and celebrated more than I usually do, all the while making sure there was not another injury to my aging limbs.
My dogs are at the vet's today having dental work done, poor babies. Jay-Jay had to have two teeth extracted and Gus had work done on his gums. It's time to go pick them up, so I'm hoping the anesthesia and pain shot keep them dazed for the rest of today.
Nope, no dazed dogs, but hungry, thirsty and miffed at their mama for having them tortured like she did. And that torture treatment was not cheap. Yikes!

Today has been a much better day than yesterday. The groundhog didn't see his shadow, but I saw mine and mine wasn't the one cast by the sun, even though I saw that, too. Summertime will arrive on schedule.
I acknowledged long ago that there is a Jekyll and Hyde in everyone. Every once in a while my Hyde side rears its ugly head and tries to overpower the Jekyll side. It's been a while since the two sides wrestled for dominance, but yesterday was such a day. I'm happy to report that Jekyll won, but I know I haven't heard the last of Hyde. Such is the human dilemma.
I spent the morning at St. Dominic's while Mike went to therapy sessions. The coffee shop in Dominican Plaza has become one of my favorite hang-outs. I didn't feel like going shopping, which is what I do sometimes while he's there, but instead, drank coffee and journaled and visited with a couple of other people who are frequently there at the same time I am.
This afternoon I indulged in a 2 hour nap, shopped for groceries and spent some time visiting with my friend and neighbor Sandra. The spin bike that Art got for me in November has done nothing but collect dust in my garage, so she wants to try it and see how she likes it. I hope she does. She has a different type exercise bike that I like, so we're thinking of trading. I also listened to some lectures on Archive.org. All kinds of neat free stuff on this site.

Benji launched a new group on Facebook for "Cecil's Park." It's been fun to look at the old photos and try to figure out once again who everybody is. For those of you who have no idea what Cecil's Park was, I feel sorry for you. And unless you grew up in Plantersville, you probably don't know about it. It wasn't just your normal small town public park. Maybe tomorrow I can come up with a brief explanation.
I've had a busy day trying to keep my emotional roller-coaster on the tracks. It's been scary. It's also been exhausting. So I'm turning in; I hope I can sleep. The Melatonin will help.
